We successfully held Xander's birthday party on Saturday! The guests were Sam, Daniel, Seth, Jennie, Alexis, Ryan, Braiden, and Caleb. Mostly the time was spent free play but we also built ice cream sundaes with cookies, played at the playground, and played pin the Spiderman on the tallest tower. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. One of my friends brought their baby. I was holding her and Maxwell was chasing me down the hall yelling, "Mom, I want to hold that! I want to hold him." She is a girl. The boys opened their goody bags after their friends left and really enjoyed playing with the little toys in there. My friends that were baptized in August spoke for their first time in Sacrament Meeting. They did great. In writing his Thank-you cards for the wonderful presents, Xander wanted to tell Alexis, "I love you." Yesterday we finally started decorating for Christmas. I got all of the decoration out that I plan on using this year and needed to start making dinner. While I was making dinner, Jared and the boys put the tree together and put the ornaments on. After throwing the ornaments on, they kept asking me for more. Elijah even specifically requested and described an ornament that I was not planning on adding to the tree this year. It was his Baby's First Christmas ornament. So I had to get it out for him to hang on the tree. Their memories are so amazing. My tree mostly has only snowmen on it and his is a little lamb swinging. Jean, my mother-in-law and hopefully Ross will be here next week which will be enjoyable. My children love it when family comes to visit. Jared starts his new job today. Elijah's last day of school before winter break is Thursday. After that he will be out until January 8th. Jared will return to school the week after. Jared is still a 4.0 student. He works really hard at maintaining that G.P.A. Hopefully when it is time for him to apply for universities and scholarships that will really work out for us. He should be applying now but for whatever reason has not started yet. He will be graduating this spring with his two or three Associates degrees.
