This past weekend was hectic but great! Elijah's soccer team won his game. Elijah has become more aggressive on the field and although he prefers defense he works hard at offense when the coach assigns him there.

Our friends, the Rossels, came to visit from San Diego (Vista). We worked hard at trying to convince them to move here and Jared set up a family blog for them. Summer (my friend from college) had a baby boy on January 15th. We enjoyed having an almost 5 year old girl, a two year old girl, and the baby in the apartment. Elijah and Renee really got along. At church Elijah introduce Renee as his cousin and was calling Summer and Phillipe Aunt and Uncle. We teased Elijah and Renee that they couldn't marry their cousins and when we told them they actually could get married since they are not related they got all smiley and shy.

We went to Macayo's on Monday for lunch right before they left. Maxwell cut his chips with a knife and fork. I got fajitas and Maxwell wanted one of the tortillas. I shared and he proceeded to fill his tortilla up with the food from his plate and wrap it up and eat it. What a copy cat.

All the boys enjoyed Valentine's Day! When Xander saw all of Elijah's Valentines from school, he worried about anyone giving him a Valentine. Jared brought home tulips for me which are one of my two favorite flowers, the other being daffodils. Xander still had great concern that no one had remembered him. Later I gave each of the boys PEZ dispensers. They were so grateful for the little trinkets. Elijah's reads XOXO which he reads as kiss, hug, kiss, hug. Maxwell's said, "Happy Valentine's Day! which he kept repeating over and over. Xander's said I(heart)U! The little messages were extra special to each of the boys as well. They kept thanking Jared and I over and over for their Valentines.

Maxwell had karate yesterday. You can now ask him to count to 3 in Japanese. Xander can count to 5 in Japanese. Maxwell did not cry at all yesterday about going to karate and Xander did not go to class with him.

We went to the library twice yesterday. The first time we went while Elijah was at school for reading group. We haven't been since Maxwell barfed all over me on the bus. We had to go again with Elijah since he informed me he was out of chapter books to read.

Xander gave a talk in primary on the purpose of Jesus creating the Earth. He did well.

That's all I have for today.
