We had some blog issues so Jared changed it around. Click on the title to read more. My last entry was lost. Xander is getting glasses. He is far-sighted with significantly worse vision in his left eye. Fortunately we caught it at this age so his eye did not go lazy although it was in the early stages of that. His eyes may improve with age. At this time glasses can only improve his left eye to 20-30 and his right eye to 20-20. Within the next few years his left eye should be able to see 20-20 with glasses.

On Monday night, I told him he was going to the eye doctor the next day. He responded after thinking, "Well (PAUSE) is that going to be good?" We explained to him that it would help him see better but he would have to follow a lot of directions and do what the doctor said. Well is Xander's thinking word. He says it all of the time.

He picked out some blue wire frames that look really cute. I told him they were Super-Powered glasses since they turn into sunglasses outside. He is pretty excited about getting them. We should have them next week. He has to wear them as long as he is awake.

Yesterday was the boys first baseball practice. I really like the parents I have met so far. Two of the dads are also from the St. Louis area. Elijah hit the ball far and on the first pitch both of his opportunities. Xander hit the ball on the third pitch but forgot to drop his bat and ran after the ball with the other kids instead of running to first base. Elijah was next at bat and hit the ball past first and second base which is where Xander was supposed to be running. Xander ran again to field the ball and got tagged out. Elijah made it all the way home on his hit.

Maxwell still enjoys writing his name every opportunity he gets. He also likes typing it when I am IMing Jared. He runs around the back of the chair starting and ending at my right side. The right side has the mouse, letter M and letter L. On his way back he calls it the L side. All the other letters are on my left side.

He went to Sunbeams this week. He went with one of my friends because he wouldn't leave with me to go to Sunbeams. He is still getting used to it. I feel bad about it since there is usually only one other Sunbeam there who has to sit alone when Maxwell won't go in. Maxwell and Jacob are the only fully active Sunbeams.
