This week I got to go to Salt Lake and hang out with Carey, Brigham, my mom and Alyssa for Alyssa's last day before going to the MTC. We did a session at the temple, ate at the Garden on top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and got my mom's ears pierced. It was a lot of fun. Carey and I were concerned about our flights since it was only a 24 hour trip. We got there safely and only a little late. Elijah was concerned about me missing the events here so he recorded them in his journal and called them Day 1 and Day 2. Maxwell awoke in the middle of the night on Monday calling for me and apparently pretty upset.

I brought the boys some pass along cards, hotel pads and pens, and some jets. Maxwell said, "Thank-you for the papers, pen, pictures, and plane," before he even got up to play with his new acquisitions. Totally unprompted, Maxwell decided to give his pass-along card of the Salt Lake Temple to Daddy last night. On the way to church once, Maxwell said, "I want to go to the church where daddies go." It was a few weeks after the time all of us went to Brig's blessing.

Maxwell is going to give his first scripture and prayer in Primary this week. This Saturday they have a primary activity where they go to a pretend MTC at the church. This will be Maxwell's first primary activity.

Elijah's class is doing a few plays next week during class time. Elijah gets to be Jack for a rewritten version of Jack and the Beanstalk. I imagine he probably pleaded for a starring role.

All of the boys enjoyed their extra Dad time with me out of town. Thanks Jared for taking such good care of them. Jared even cooked and washed the dishes while I was gone. The apartment was as clean as it was before I left.

Have a great week!

You're welcome

:)
