Xander and Elijah's First Day of School

Xander and Elijah have been in school for well over a month now. They still love it. Last week, I went to Morning Meeting at their school. The value for the week was Friendship. They had some of the kindergarteners acting out situations displaying bad or good friendship. Xander was up on the stage in front of the K-2 and several parents. All of the sudden he drops his books, grasps his face with his hands and cries, "Oh, no!" I was giggling because it was so sudden and surprising. Next one of his friends said, "Xander dropped his books, let's help him pick them up." The simple skits were even concepts Maxwell understood. It is fun taking your kids to a school where they are so well taught. Maxwell even told Jared the details of Xander's skit.

Oh yeah, they are twins on purpose. Even today they both had to wear this same shirt and be twins. I caught them standing close together in the mirror checking out their twinness.

I do believe we all wish we had a twin. When I was around 14, my family went on a camping trip. My brother Neil (3 years younger than me) and I told everyone in the campground that we were twins. He was a big guy and I was pretty tiny. It was a lot of fun to have a twin for a day. Just think - Grandma Jensen Young really did have a twin brother. He was three years older than her. The doctor had already gone home thinking everything was over when grandma let her mother know she was on the way. Everything in those days was a surprise! Love you all, Wendy Jensen
