Merry, Merry Christmas!

Our family was totally spoiled again this year. My favorite present was "Reflections of Christ" picture book from Santa. Mom, Maxwell, and I went and saw that exhibit at the temple one of her visits here. It is such a beautiful book. The CD is also beautiful. If I had a lot more money I would have purchased the CD and book for everyone I know. At least we have enough money to eat and be a little spoiled. The boys picked out some lovely Christmas decorations for me and some yummy candy. I LOVE candy. Elijah got Heely's from Santa, he has been asking for Heely's since he knew they existed but Mom and Dad always felt they were too extravagant. Maxwell got Roller Skates and Xander got a Razor Scooter. The family is getting a parakeet from Santa. He already provided us with a cage. Grandma and Grandpa Jensen provided us with the best Christmas ornaments. I love the Snowmen cowboys. They even got us sled ornaments that have each of our names on them spelled correctly, even Max. Oddly enough Max has the rarest name out of the 5 of us so he usually just gets the generic version of any personalized gifts. Grandma and Grandpa Anderson got the boys tennis rackets, practice balls, and real tennis balls as well as wrist bands and headbands. They are so excited to learn more about playing tennis. It is one of Elijah and Xander's favorite units in P.E. (We are so grateful for daily P.E./Health.) Jared is hoping Stes and Bryce will bring their rackets and the 6 of them will be able to go play. It may be cold for us here in AZ but I think it is survivable for tennis. If you didn't already know I am not much for games that involve flying balls. (Baseball is way less scary since the balls will go in a known direction.) Grandma and Grandpa Landon got Elijah a chicken and a parakeet Webkinz. We tried to convince Elijah the cage was for his Webkinz and not an actual live pet. Grandparents Landon got Xander is first set of scriptures(with his full name in gold) and the scripture bag. This was the present that definitely received the most consideration and time from any of the kids. Xander excitedly looked through them at the pictures while his brothers waited somewhat patiently for us to move on. Grandparents Landon got Maxwell a snake Webkinz and a dino egg. This year we weren't going to do presents from the boys to everyone because money is a little tight (as it is for everyone). They were so disappointed when I was informing them that they insisted on using their saved up birthday moneys to purchase gifts for each family member. I couldn't say no to such generous little spirits after that. Each boy and I spent a special shopping trip picking out presents for their brothers and dad. They were so thoughtful and careful in their selections. Until you spend Christmas with your own precious little ones you have no idea the joy that Christmas holds. All in all, I am super grateful to be blessed with such a special family. And I mean all of my family. All of my cousins, cousins' children, in-laws, sisters' in-laws (Ellen, Katie, Chris, Lucas, and Devon you know who you are and etc.), parental units, uncles, aunts. (I am especially grateful to my Uncle Chris for being on hand for a special, surprise quick delivery of cousin Erin's baby girl Felicity yesterday.), sisters (how precious are each of my sisters to me, all of you are special gifts from Heaven enriching my life continually), nieces, nephews, and friends. I am eternally grateful for the gift of my Savior for his life, Atonement, and resurrection. He lives and loves completely and perfectly each and every individual. He knows your name, your needs, your worries, your heart. Love and peace to you all. Peace begins in the heart.
