Another anecdote

Well . . . the joy of being in Primary with my kids is that I get to hear all of the Sharing Times and see their reactions. Today, and really I don't understand how or why, in Junior Primary, the counselor broached the subject of tattoos. Xander emphatically nodded yes or no to the questions posed about tattoos. I don't remember the specifics, but his answers were church correct and were the responses the instructor was seeking. One of my fears is that one of my children will offer the information that Mom has a tattoo which might create a bit of a ruckus with the kids and be a shock to the President and other counselor. I told Jared about Xander's reactions at the dinner table. We had a little tattoo discussion and answered their questions. Jared asked each of the kids whether or not they were going to get a tattoo when they were 18. Xander and Elijah responded no they would never get a tattoo. Maxwell responded to the rather specific question with, "I'm going to mix all of the sodas when I turn 18!"

If you want more explanation to that, our kids are not allowed to have caffeine until they are 18 and I would prefer they would wait until they are fully grown which might not be until their mid-twenties. They need all the help and time they can get to get bigger and taller. When we went out to eat last week, they discovered "suicides" but were only able to mix 3 drinks. They were longing for the day when they can mix all of the drinks in a fountain.

I have a lot to catch up on so hopefully I will post pretty regularly this week. Elijah and Xander will return to school Tuesday and we have their I.L.P.s tomorrow morning.
