It's Wednesday!

Saturday we took the Metro into the city to go to the Science Center. Unfortunately we did not know they were having a free day so there was a line a mile long to get into the place. Jared and I aren't much for waiting in lines and we did not want to waste a trip downtown so after walking around a bit we decided to go to the game. The Diamondbacks lost and due to the lack of planning that goes into spontaneity it was one of our more expensive games, but we had lots of fun. The best find (which I plan on purchasing every time we go to the stadium was garlic fries from Gordon Biersch. They were ridiculously good. Sadly, I did not discover them until after the corn dogs, hot dogs, pretzels, and popcorn or it would have been the only food I purchased. We also purchased $5 1 L Aquafinas. That was rude. Spontaneity is not my strong suit. The $6 tickets eased most of the pain. (I am also a huge cheapskate.) It was awesome when Justin Upton hit a 2 run homer. Jared, was sadly MIA. He had taken two of the boys to the bathroom. Xander and I enjoyed it though. We also got 5 free Justin Upton bobble heads. Yea more stuff! I donated my bobble head to Xander's class for their rewards store. The kids earn Eagle bucks for good behavior and then they get to buy stuff that the parents have donated.

Yesterday we had Wolf den meeting at our house. Elijah's school teachers hadn't had enough volunteers for the field trip so I had volunteered to meet them at the Arizona Museum of Natural History to help out. They let me come despite my 5 year old sidekick which shows how desperate they were. We had fun though. Our group consisted of 2 moms, 3 3-4 girls, 2 3-4 boys, and Maxwell. We went to the local visitor's center as well. I learned that I can even get brochures to help plan a trip to Navajo Nation. Back to the Wolf Den Meeting, I had to get the house ready, do a bunch of laundry before the meeting, prepare dinner, and clean up after dinner. I also wanted to get the bird cage clean but I ran out of time. Because of this and Elijah's field trip I was on my feet from 8:15 AM until 6:35 PM when the boys arrived. My feet hurt. Tile floors tend to do that even if you keep your shoes on, but our house was semi-cleaned up and there wasn't any undies out and about. I enjoyed being the other adult in the room for Jared. It was fun to observe him with his den. He is so talented with kids. I was worn out by the end of the cleaning, cooking, laundering spree and Elijah was complaining about how his feet hurt. He started to say that I had been relaxing all day, but almost caught himself in time. I enjoyed teasing him about it.

We discovered that Elijah notices cute girls. I was describing this 11 year old girl in the Primary to Jared. She is absolutely beautiful. Elijah inserted himself in the conversation and asked, "Was she wearing a blue dress?" She was and now I tease him about all the pretty girls. He smiles and blushes and I giggle. Xander has always been one to notice the ladies and feels no shame in describing a girl as pretty. Elijah is a little more reserved when it comes to girls.

One great husband - three
