Elijah's 2010 Q4 Summative

Elijah and Xander! AND Max

What an interesting profession that would be Elijah. I think it would be fun to design buildings. You are very fortunate to have the opportunity to learn about so many things. Be sure to give your mom and dad hugs for their sacrifices for your education AND thank your teachers. You are a blessed boy. I love seeing how you are growing into a fine young man. It is a good to have the confidence to stand before people and speak especially when you have something worthwhile to say. I sure love you Elijah!

I love to write too Xander. It is a wonderful thing to be able to articulate important thoughts. I hope you write whole stories and books. A whole story is one that has truth revealed through its telling. Good fiction reveals truth in its story. That just means that the true consequences of good and evil are shown. A broken story would leave you thinking something that isn't true. Sometimes stories that are written tell about a person who breaks the commandments of God and yet they end up the big winners. People who chose the wrong do have some short term benefits but in the end they will always face the true consequences of what they have done. "Wickedness never was happiness." the scriptures say. I especially like good fiction but I especially like true stories. I have recently read the story of Justice Clarence Thomas, the Supreme Court Justice and was inspired by his life and the lessons he learned from his grandfather. The last thing I wrote was the story of my dad and uncle who fought in World War II. You can read it by going to: http://ibelievebywj.blogspot.com/ The first picture of the three brothers has both my father from when I was born (he died when I was six years old) and my dad who adopted me when I was thirteen years old. I love you Xander.

Max - How are you enjoying Daisy. She looks like a wonderful dog. Did you hear that your cousins in Soda Springs just got a new dog? Her name is Shay and she is mostly chocolate brown. She will be bigger than Daisy and is a sweet dog. Do you have anything new you are learning about this summer? I always loved summer time because I had the time to learn more about something I really liked. I also loved having more time to be with my family and I loved swimming! Because we lived in a small town, we could stay outside with our friends late at night and play hide 'n go seek with our friends. It was great fun. I love you Maxwell.
