Maxwell's Talk

Maxwell is giving another talk in Primary. Instead of writing a talk for him that was way too long and too old (like I did last time), I had him write his own talk. He enjoyed the process and I really enjoyed the process. I watched him write and listened to him figure out how he was going to tell his story. I gave him some stories to pick from and then told him to tell it in his own words. He didn't think he had his own words so I asked him questions until he figured out how he was going to tell the story. And then he began writing . . .

"the nephits were wickid. so heavenly father told samual the lamanite to tell the nephits to repent and remember Jesus and not there riches. so samual the laminite climbd the city wall. the nephits shot bown arows and threw rocks at him. they all mist. becuse Samual the lamanite had the power of the holy goast. (helaman chapter 16 verse 2)
the holy goast will only guid and protect us when we are makeing good choices.
(bear testomony) In the name of Jesus Christ amen."

I told him I would type it out for him including the whole scripture verse. He was going to write it out completely which would have taken forever. He was pretty happy with what he accomplished.

Also, according to Maxwell, he doesn't need his glasses for reading just for "aiming" which is how he describes changing focus. He can strain his eyes to see most anything and is okay as long as size and distance don't change.
