Yesterday I got to go to Elijah's class for the Fall Party. It was a lot of fun to meet his friends and some of the other parents. He has been doing really well keeping his stick at school. That is the discipline system for his class. The other day we were doing scripture study and there was a verse that spoke of the angels praising God. The kids asked me what praising was so I said nice things about each of them. Last was Maxwell who I called my angel. Xander and Elijah asked why I always called Maxwell my angel. They wanted to be called angels too everyday. So now I tell each of them individually that they are my angel and they giggle and smile and it is so sweet. Today Maxwell and I played a crazy game of "I got your nose." I didn't even know he knew how to play but I pretended to eat his nose and so he opened my mouth and took it out and put it back on. One of the times he took my nose he ran away and locked himself in another room so I couldn't get my nose back. It was pretty silly. A few weeks ago Xander, Maxwell, and I were playing outside in the courtyard. On both sides of the courtyard there are steep slopes coming down into the courtyard. Xander likes to run down those full speed. He fell because Maxwell got in his way and he tried to stop. He stated that he was mad at Jesus for making those mountains too big. He wasn't even hurt just embarrassed. We had a little talk about how if he wanted to never have bad things happen that he could stay in his bed all of the time but if he wanted to live and enjoy life he had to take the bad with the good. I also told him it wasn't Jesus' fault he fell. It was hard not to burst out laughing. The kid is so logical. We are going through a crazy time around here. We are going to be moving again soon-either to another apartment in this complex or to a house. Our current apartment was not properly turned before we moved in and after a few days it started to reek of cigarette smoke. They have another ground level 3-bedroom that we should find out if it will work for us sometime next week. Hopefully we will be settled again sometime in the next century. We have basically been in limbo for over two months now. Have a great week.
