Reports of Amelia's Genius Have Been Greatly Exaggerated

Amelia is saying words and Amelia is taking steps. Amelia is not talking or walking yet. She is up to 10 steps in a row but they are the wobbly Frankenstein steps. She says words randomly. Some days she uses 5 or so different words other days she only uses one. That one would be Daisy. She consistently says that every day many times a day. Any other words are infrequent but they do happen.

She started saying, "Hello?" into the phone on her own. It was after I finished one of my many phone conversations with Ashlee and I set the phone down by Amelia who then proceeded to pick the phone up and put it to her ear and then say the very cute and very magic word, "Hello?" Jared got it on video and I got her to say it to my parents' answering machine and to Aunt Carey. I haven't been able to get her to say it to anyone else over the phone but she still picks up the phone and says, "Hello?" every once in awhile.

Amelia is busy and curious and mischievious. She has me laughing many times a day. I really enjoy her. She adores Daisy, but Daisy doesn't return the favor. She loves to look out the window and yell at her dog and lay on her dog and sit on her dog and pat (hit) her dog and just be close to her dog.

Another sports season has started. Jared is still coaching soccer. We are hoping Xander will get in half of the season. He will probably get in at least 4 games since they are after a 2 week Spring Break, but he might get in 5. He may be fully functional and healed by the end of February. We have his next appointment on February 16. He will most likely get his pin out then and depending on the bones he will either get a cast or will be ready to reanimate which is a two week or so process.

Maxwell and Elijah try out for baseball on Saturday morning. Practice begins in mid-February. Maxwell is trying out to play a level up.

Amelia is done with me typing so I am done. END

That's funny.

I thought you were going to say I was wrong because you(Ashlee) heard her say hello on the phone too. I was also wrong about her max steps in a row she is over 20 steps in a row and had accomplished that before I wrote the entry unbeknownst to me.

Wrong

She is genius and it is not an exaggeration. Maybe it seems normal to you because your boys were just as advanced! Love you:)
